Llandeilo is in Carmarthenshire, South-West Wales. Situated at the crossing of the river Towy, it has been said to be the jewel in the Towy’s crown. The main north-south A483 and the east-west A40 trunk road place it close to larger towns like Swansea, Neath, Llanelli and Carmarthen. The close proximity of the M4 places it within easy reach of Cardiff, Bristol and beyond.
On the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, you find our colourful, picturesque town. Llandeilo is rich in history and culture, an area which attracts many tourists and holiday makers. Dating back to the 13th century, this charming little town named after the 5th Saint Teilo now has a community of about 2000 residents which is well served with small friendly shops and an abundance of eating places.

- Walk through Castle Woods Nature reserve to ancient Dinefwr Castle, perched on a crag with tremendous views along the Towy valley. Visit Dinefwr Park and Newton House, a National trust property with white cattle, lake and Deer park.

From the M4
When you reach the end of the M4 (Jct 49) there is a choice, you can either follow the sign posts for Llandielo via Ammanford (A483) or alternatively you can take the first exit which is the A48 heading towards Crosshands, continue to the roundabout, take the third exit (A476) signposted Llandielo, stay on this road and travel approx 6 miles until you reach Ffairfach’s mini roundabout. Take the first exit on the left (A483) leading to Llandielo Town. Drive right through the town and down the hill to the roundabout, take your second exit (A40) towards Llandovery, you are now in sight of ‘Brynmorfa’, stay on this road, Ty Menyn is approx 200 yards on the left, at the end of the row of houses.

Ty Menyn can be found behind ‘Brynmorfa’ on the main A40, approx 200 yards before the Llandeilo roundabout (Westbound) or 200 yards after the roundabout (Eastbound), just before/after Rhosmaen.

The town is served by The Heart of Wales Railway line, Swansea to Shewsbury.
